Overview

Replace the problematic factory thermal bypass valve in your 2013-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins before it causes catastrophic failure with the XDP Transmission Cooler Thermal Bypass Valve (TBV) Upgrade XD343.

The OE thermal bypass valve is designed to route bypass the transmission cooler in cold temperatures in order to bring the transmission up to operating temperature faster. Unfortunately, the bimetallic valve commonly fails in the closed position, causing hot transmission fluid to constantly circulate right back into the transmission, never, or barely, passing through the cooler at all. This results in excessive transmission temperatures, potentially damaging your transmission and leaving you stranded on the side of the road with not only an expensive tow bill, but a costly repair bill as well!

XDP's Thermal Bypass Valve Upgrade utilizes an unrestricted straight through design, eliminating the recirculation aspect of the factory TBV. No more having to worry about when the factory part will fail you. By removing the passageway that returns hot fluid back to the transmission, fluid restriction is reduced, lowering overall transmission temperatures.

A transmission that runs cool will last longer than one that's always hot. Installation is just like installing the OE part, requiring no cutting or modifications to the factory lines.

To prevent leaks before they start, Four (4) new O-rings are supplied as well as two (2) quick connect fittings, making for a complete bolt-on kit for the 68RFE and Aisin AS69RC transmissions.
