Installation Instructions for Cylinder Head

• Torque the head to fastener manufacturer specifications in proper torque sequence, then set valves.
• Once completed, get the vehicle to operating temperature. Let the vehicle cool long enough to where it is safe to begin working on.
• Re-torque the cylinder head to fastener manufacturer specifications in the proper torque sequence. Set the valve lash once again.
• After 300-500 miles of moderate driving, do your final re-torque and set valve lash for the final time. This will be to the same ft-lbs as the fastener’s specification you completed in step 2.
